Unity Christian High School Soccer Fundraiser Scores Big with Popcorn Sales

MT. ZION, IL – 3/5/2025 – Del’s Popcorn Shop is thrilled to mark another victory for a fantastic local organization. We successfully raised over $520 for a dedicated school athletic program, with total sales reaching $1,051.54 during the campaign held from February 13 to March 3, 2025. These funds will help offset costs for warm-ups, seasonal equipment, and playoff expenses, with 95% of the proceeds specifically supporting socks, gloves, and warm-ups for players.

“The athletic program is a great example of a worthy cause. They met all the criteria for us as a long-term community partner,” explained Ellie Gross, Del’s national sales manager. “We love these teams, and we love these kids. We are so happy we can play a part in their story.”

The School’s Athletic Program

The school’s athletic program is focused on supporting its student-athletes by helping cover the cost of warm-ups, seasonal equipment, and playoff expenses. 95% of the funds raised will directly go toward socks, gloves, and warm-ups for players—essentials that can add up quickly for families. The school extends a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who supported the fundraiser and helped ease the financial burden on student-athletes.

Del’s Popcorn Shop

Del’s is a gourmet retail popcorn and confectionery based in Springfield, IL. Del’s was stitched into the fabric of Central Illinois before World War II.
